The guitars do their job, although at times they throw in those middle eastern melodies, and that's always cool. Good Luck for them These guys are angry and have a reason to be. I don't really know what the lyrics are about specifically, but they are influenced by their experiences in a war-torn country for sure.

The story's happy ending or new beginning, rather is that the band members obtained refugee status in the US and released their first EP nine years after their formation.

Excellent excellent stuff, get this and listen to what people can do when they have metal in their souls and determination in their hearts! He even shows himself capable of more melodic vocals, such as in the fo eastern flavored "Garden of Stones" or the mournful "Massacre", where he goes from low growls to vocals that sound like an unholy cross between a muezzin Muslim prayer caller and an old school thrash vocalist.

With this being a thrash metal EP, I think it goes without saying that this album's biggest flaw is its lack of truly fast-paced songs. The second track, "Garden of Stones" is almost entirely performed using middle eastern modes and rhythms, "Massacre" opens with a spoken word section in Arabic and "The Unknown's" main riff draws from the acrasicauda musical pool that "Garden of Stones" does.
